Parramore Colors

Distinctive Colors for Borosilicate Lampworking

Formerly The New Color Company, Parramore Colors evolved in response to the growing and ever-changing landscape of the contemporary lampworking scene.
The need for a distinctive palette of high quality glass has never been greater as artists press the envelop in ways previously unimagined.  The development of a strong foundation of technical skills, new aesthetic sensibilities, and the general availability of information has created fertile ground for continued development.
The explosion of lampworking has not come without growing pains as we all face the challenges of competition from each other as well as from overseas. With the advent of the internet the playing field has been leveled considerably as markets open up in all directions. Never has borosilicate color been so readily available nor in such variety. As part of the global market we all have choices that were unheard of even several years ago.
The fundamental rule of dealing with change is to not fix what is right but rather focus on removing the obstacles to creative realization. Nearly seventy years of lampworking, research, industrial, and academic experience combined to create Parramore Colors. The soft, long-working character of Parramore Colors coupled with their tolerance of variable flame chemistry makes them an ideal choice for artistic lampworking.
Since their inception consistency has been the hallmark of Parramore Colors. To ensure a consistently superior product our process involves only the finest quality raw materials carefully blended in small micro-batches. Unfortunately, this commitment to superior quality yields a rather expensive product making it difficult for many to enjoy. Rather than sacrificing the quality of Parramore Colors, Parramore Glass, Inc. has responded by streamlining operations, and focusing on delivering a superior product at a more affordable price.
For those who have supported Parramore Colors in the past and to those who haven’t given them a try, we hope you will find them a worthy addition to your borosilicate color palette.
While we cannot guarantee compatibility in all circumstances, Parramore Colors have sustained rigorous testing, and continued quality control and refinement are of the utmost importance. As Parramore Glass, Inc. and its representatives have no control over the end use of this product:

IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USER TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE USE OF THIS PRODUCT FOR A SPECIFIC PROCESS.
